How to block someone on Reddit?

Reddit users are unable to block the people without prior interaction, namely, mentions, comments and conversations. To put it differently, the user can’t block anyone without having sent a single message in the first place.

Is it possible to block the user that he has not reviewed the posts?

A ban on the viewing of posts on Reddit is impossible. If you are blocked, you will not be able to see messages sent by other users. Since they don’t get a notification that they’ve been blocked, users will send you private messages in the future, but they won’t be displayed in your profile.

It is worth to pay attention to the following: if you are an administrator or a subreddit mod, you will have access to the blocked user messages.

1. Open private messages.

To do this, you must log in by entering your username and password. The first thing you have to find the envelope situated in the top right corner and click on it. Then you will be able to see the conversation box.

2. Make a search request on the messages from the user, you intend to block

Bear in mind that blocking can be applied only to those users with whom you earlier interacted in a direct manner. Consequently, glance over the messages and select one of the individuals you intend to block.

3. Click the “Block” button

This button is located under the recipient’s messages. When you click on it, a pop-up window with the “Yes/No” option will appear.

If you select “Yes”, the user will be blocked, and any interactions related to them will become inaccessible to you.
